CTE recruitment remains a challenge for a number of reasons, including stigma and outdated perceptions of CTE programs, lack of understanding about how CTE can lead to successful education and career opportunities, and general lack awareness of CTE programs. Advance CTE will present research on how to best communicate the value and opportunity of CTE programs to parents and students. The State CTE Directors from Idaho and Washington will dig into how they developed their recruitment strategies at the state and local levels.
